10 Days Combined Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya Tour

This 10 Days Combined Uganda Rwanda Kenya Tour combines the best of Kenya’s wildlife, Rwanda’s history, and Uganda’s legendary gorilla trekking. Begin in Nairobi with game drives in Nairobi National Park, a visit to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, and the Karen Blixen Museum before heading into the world-famous Masai Mara for Big Five sightings and the spectacular Great Migration. Continue to Amboseli for breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its great elephant herds, then fly to Kigali to explore the moving Genocide Memorial. From here, cross into Uganda’s lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where the highlight of your journey awaits—an unforgettable trek to meet the endangered mountain gorillas. Along the way, enjoy scenic drives, optional Batwa cultural encounters, and handpicked lodges that offer comfort and authentic African hospitality.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport aboard an afternoon flight. Clear with immigrations and proceed outside where your safari manager will meet you. Assistance to board your private vehicle and transfer to your city hotel. Check in and pre safari briefing. Evening at leisure with dinner on own account.

Day 2: Nairobi Tour

Breakfast will be served at your hotel from 0630 hrs. Pick up by your guide at 0700 hrs. Head to Nairobi National Park where you will enjoy morning game drives. This small but amazing park is only located 7 kilometers away from the city Centre, the only one in the world found near a modern city. It is home to Giraffe, Buffalo, Hippo, Hartebeest, Cheetah, Lion, Zebra and an array of bird species among others, and on a good day, you get a chance to take spectacular photos of the wildlife with the city’s sky crappers in the background. You will then proceed to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust just next to the national park. Here, you will interact with young Elephants that have been rescued from different parts of Kenya. You will watch them as they are bottled fed, and if lucky, as they play in the mud. (Please note that visit to the orphanage is very limited, and must be pre booked and confirmed on a first come first served basis). You will depart here at 1200 hrs and visit the Karen Blixen Museum, for a chance to learn more about Danish Baroness Isaak Dinesen of the “Out of Africa” movie. You may then have optional lunch at the Tamambo Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant or the Carnivore Restaurant- bookable and payable in advance. Transfer back to your hotel with afternoon spent at leisure. Dinner on own account.

Day 3: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast at your hotel. Check out by 0730 hrs, board your 4x4WD safari converted land cruiser and depart by road to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrival will be on time for lunch. After settling down, you will enjoy your first Masai Mara Game drive from 1600 hrs. Masai Mara is one of the leading national parks in the world, a natural habitat to over 95 mammal and 450 bird species. All members of the BIG 5; Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant and Rhino can be found here.

Day 4: Masai Mara

The full day will be spent in the vast Masai Mara reserve. You will enjoy game viewing activities with the safari jeep on exclusive use. Be on the lookout for Lions, Cheetahs, Buffalos, Zebras, Spotted Hyenas, Masai Giraffes, Elands, Gazelles, Hippos, Leopard, Black Rhino and several other animals and birds that reside here.

The Mara, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa and a northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti is home to the Big Five as well as other predators, scavengers, plains game and prolific birdlife.
This is also the place where the wildlife spectacle referred to as the annual wildebeest migration takes place every year between July and October when over 1.2 million Wildebeest together with over 400,000 Zebras and Antelopes cross over from Serengeti in search of greener pastures.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Amboseli National Park by Flight

Breakfast at your lodge. Check out by 0900 hrs, board your safari vehicle and transferred to the local airstrip. You will board your scheduled flight to Amboseli departing at 1130 hrs. Arrival at around 123o hrs. Met by your safari guide, board your 4x4WD safari converted land cruiser and proceed to your lodge for lunch.

This afternoon, you will see wildlife as you enjoy game drives in the park until dusk. Amboseli National Park is located on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is Africa’s Highest Mountain. On a clear day, you can enjoy stunning views of the snow capped mountain. It is also world famous because of the Big, Free ranging herds of Elephants and Buffalos that roam its savannah, scenic beauty among several other wildlife sightings.

Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge / Sentrim Amboseli Camp / similar.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi- Then Fly To Kigali

Breakfast at your lodge. On a clear morning, you will be able to see the mountain right from your lodge. Check out by latest 1000 hrs, board your safari jeep and begin your journey back to Nairobi. On arrival, you may have lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant / similar if time permits and pay locally. You will then be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on time to board your late evening departure flight to Kigali.

Day 7: Kigali – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (4 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, visit the Kigali genocide museum which Inaugurated in 2004, the Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. After embark on a drive to Bwindi Uganda side. Enroute lunch at your hotel choice, proceed to Uganda Bwindi, the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Drive by the lakes (Ruhondo and Bulera).

Day 8: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Begin the day with breakfast ready for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. In the afternoon, The evening is spent on sightseeing and relaxing around the lodge or you can choose to visit the Batwa local communities.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Kigali (Travel Time +4hrs)

After an early breakfast, embark on the drive from Uganda in to Rwanda. You may choose to have an early lunch en-route in Kigali. The evening will for relaxation at your hotel.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali Airport

After breakfast, if time allows do the shopping before you are transferred to airport for your flight to the next destination

Meet and Greet and arrival transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, 2 nights’ accommodation in Nairobi on bed and breakfast basis, 2 nights’ full board accommodation in Masai Mara, 1 night full board accommodation in Amboseli, park entrance fees to Nairobi National Park, Masai Mara and Amboseli as per program, Sheldrick Orphanage entrance fees (subject to entrance confirmation in advance as daily slots are limited), Karen Blixen Museum tour, ground transportation and game drives while enjoying exclusive (private) use  of a 7 Seater 4×4 wheel drive safari converted land cruiser, scheduled flight from Masai Mara to Amboseli- subject to limited seat availability at the time of booking, services of an English speaking safari driver/ guide, purified drinking water inside the safari jeep, Free Enrolment to the AMREF Flying Doctor Emergency Medical Evacuation Scheme (for clients with valid travel insurance) and applicable government taxes on tour services.
