The 10 Days Uganda and Rwanda Gorilla Adventure Safari is designed to give you the absolute best experience as you explore the wonders of Uganda and Rwanda.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Welcome to the Pearl of Africa

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by our company representative and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the vibrant nightlife, craft markets, or simply relax after your long flight. This marks the start of the 10 Days Uganda and Rwanda Gorilla Adventure Safari.

Day 2: Kampala – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. En route, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino trekking experience the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.

After lunch in Masindi, continue through scenic savannah grasslands to the park. You will visit the top of the falls, where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges 43 meters into a thunderous pool below a truly breathtaking sight.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Game Drive & Boat Safari

Start the day with an early morning game drive across the northern bank of the Nile. Expect to see elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeest, and maybe even a leopard.

After lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the falls. Along the way, you will spot hippos, crocodiles, and an abundance of birdlife including African fish eagles, kingfishers, bee-eaters, and the rare shoebill stork.

You will then hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views before returning to the lodge for a relaxed evening.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, passing through traditional Ugandan villages and stunning scenery along the Albertine Rift Valley. You will arrive in Fort Portal, a beautiful town at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, in the evening.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a chimpanzee tracking adventure. Kibale is home to 13 species of primates, including red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and the famous chimpanzees.

After lunch, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife and spectacular scenery. In the evening, enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. The channel is filled with hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of colorful bird species.

Day 6: Game Drives & Tree-Climbing Lions in Ishasha Sector

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and Uganda kob.

Later, drive to the southern sector of the park, Ishasha, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. You’ll also enjoy a guided bush walk for a close encounter with nature.

Day 7: Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, take a scenic drive through the rolling hills and terraced farmlands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorilla population.
In the evening, relax at your lodge or take a community walk to visit the Batwa people and learn about their forest traditions.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the highlight of your safari – Gorilla Trekking!
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Then set off through the misty forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take between 2–6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the experience of watching them feed, play, and interact is truly unforgettable. After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and share stories of your encounter.

Day 9: Bwindi – Cross to Rwanda / Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, drive across the Cyanika border into Rwanda, “the Land of a Thousand Hills.” Enjoy scenic views of the Virunga Volcanoes and Rwanda’s beautiful lakes Ruhondo and Burera before arriving in Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park.
Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge.

Day 10: Golden Monkey Trek & Kigali City Tour – Departure

After breakfast, set out for a Golden Monkey Trek in Volcanoes National Park. These playful primates are endemic to the Virunga Mountains and offer an exciting photographic experience.

Later, drive to Kigali, Rwanda’s clean and vibrant capital. Time permitting, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local craft markets before your transfer to the airport for your evening flight.
