5 Days Honeymoon Safari in Kenya

Experience the taste of Kenya in a fast-paced yet fulfilling safari adventure. This itinerary covers key attractions with short driving distances and maximized game viewing. Explore the scenic Aberdare Ranges, the flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru National Park, and the world-famous Masai Mara—home to the Big Five and the thrilling Great Wildebeest Migration.

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park (Approx. 4 hours drive)

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on a morning flight, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After a short briefing and introduction to your professional driver-guide, you will depart for Aberdare National Park—a stunning mountain range located east of the Great Rift Valley.

Check-in at the iconic Tree Tops Lodge, famous for its elevated structure that allows guests to observe wildlife at the floodlit waterhole. Spend your evening and night enjoying game viewing from the lodge’s viewing decks. Wildlife often seen here includes elephants, black rhinos, leopards, hyenas, buffalos, and several primate species. Rare sightings may include the elusive bongo, golden cat, and the giant forest hog.

Day 2: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park (Approx. 4 hours drive)

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, traveling through the lush central highlands and across the Equator into the dramatic Rift Valley floor. Enjoy a brief stopover at a scenic viewpoint of the Rift Valley for photography.

On arrival at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, check-in and have lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive in search of flamingos and other birdlife that populate the alkaline Lake Nakuru. The park is also home to white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, waterbucks, lions, and more.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve (Approx. 6 hours drive)

After an early breakfast, journey southwards to the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve. Bordering Tanzania’s Serengeti, this iconic reserve is known for its vast plains, abundant wildlife, and the dramatic annual wildebeest migration (July to October).

Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five and other wildlife such as wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, and antelopes.

Day 4: Full Day Game Viewing in Masai Mara

Today is dedicated to immersive game viewing. With over 450 species of mammals and 500+ bird species, Masai Mara offers a safari experience like no other.

During the migration season, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras cross the crocodile-infested Mara River—closely followed by predators such as lions and leopards.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Nairobi / Departure (Approx. 6 hours drive)

Enjoy your last breakfast in the wild before driving back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
