Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International airport

Arrive at Entebbe International airport, meet and greet assistance. You will be warmly welcomed by Luxland Africa Vacations representative outside customs and Immigration hall then you will be transferred to your hotel. Tour briefing will be done at the hotel lobby over a welcome drink.

After breakfast, the whole day will be for leisure and relaxation at your hotel

Day 3: Morning Shoebill viewing at Mabamba Wetland

You will be picked from your hotel at 7:30am ready for the morning shoebill viewing. Upon arrival at Banga beach near Nakiwogo to start your half day Mabamba tour where you will be rowed down by the speed boat then later the Canoe boat in search of the shoebill and it is also an opportunity to see other birds like Lesser Jacana, Papyrus Gonolek, Orange weaver, Black Egret, Black Crake, Black-faced Rufous Warbler, Goliath heron among other birds.

Day 4: Entebbe – Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National park (2 hours fly)

This is the nearest and easiest way to access Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Wake up early in the morning ready for the transfer to Entebbe International airport for your flight to Bwindi in either Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip depending on sector of tracking. The aircraft departs at 0700 hours arriving Bwindi at 0815 hours in the morning. You can also choose to depart at 1030 hours in the morning arriving Kisoro/Kihihi airstrip at 1145 hours in the morning. On your arrival, you will be transferred with our vehicle to your Lodge. Then the afternoon will be spent on Batwa trail experience exploring the culture of the Batwa people who are known to be the Inhabitants of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park before they were invicted by the Government to protect the rare Mountain Gorillas. So they will show you their lifestyle and way of living while in the forest.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla tracking

A while after your breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed to the park offices for a briefing from the rangers on the rules and regulations of the trek. Enjoy the cultural performance few minutes after or before the briefing then you will be grouped into a group of 8 people entitled to track each gorilla family. This experience takes between 2 -6 hours depending on the location of the Gorillas on the day of tracking and throughout the trek, you will be escorted by knowledgeable guides and trackers who will offer relevant information about the endangered mountain gorillas. Once you have found the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour observing them from a distance. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngster’s frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. After tracking, you will be rewarded with a certificate for your successful Gorilla tracking. Drive back to your lodge and the evening will be spent at leisure and relaxation.

Day 6: Fly to Entebbe International airport

Breakfast at the lodge then the guide will lead you to the nearby Kihihi airstrip departing at 0910 So that you can take your local flight from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park departing at 0910 arriving 1125 at Entebbe airport. It takes 2 hours on air and it is best journey on the pearl of Africa as you experience the aerial view of the lush vegetation, lakes, rivers and the local homestead in Uganda. Upon arrival wait at the lobby for your connecting flight to the next destination.
