Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park (5 hours drive)

Be picked up from your place of residence or hotel in Kampala drive along Kampala- Gulu highway to Murchison Falls National Park. Lunch or snack at Masindi town. This National Park is the largest national park in Uganda. It consists of 76 species of mammal and 450 bird species and well known of its powerful Murchison falls and the Victoria Nile. Upon arrival, check in for the boat cruise. Ascend the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the Murchison Fall by boat. Home of many water birds, hippos and Nile Crocodiles, also high chance of seeing elephants and buffaloes on the banks. It takes 3 hours to and from the boat cruise over the 17km stretch on the Nile as you witness the Murchison falls with its powerful water flow falling for 45m through the 7m canyon.

Overnight at Nile safari Lodge (Luxury) or Pakuba safari Lodge (Mid range)

Day 2: Game drive and return to Kampala

Have breakfast and get ready for the morning game drive starting at 7:00am. Savannah in northern bank of River Nile is very extensive and uneven. It is quite exciting to search animals and birds in such environment. The game drive takes 3-4 hours and expects to see various animals including the Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, Oribi and Water back among many others. Return to Kampala with top of the falls visit to experience the Murchison falls while on the top as water makes a thunderous sound splashing on your face and this is a refreshening therapy.  Lunch in Masindi town and continue to Kampala.

  • Boat cruise on Victoria Nile.
